Zone Introduction
The pellet plant turns iron ore fines into hardened pellets for the blast furnace. Fines are ground, balled into green pellets, then fired on a travelling grate.
Every stage wears equipment: fines abrade chutes, wet green pellets stick, and hot fired pellets grind along slide rails and discharge chutes. A worn slide rail or chute stops the whole line.
